The Social Network

The Social Network was...an interesting movie.

It really grabbed the readers' attention and it was interesting to see how such a popular tool as Facebook was created. These days its weird if someone doesn't have a facebook, it just like everyone just assumes that everyone else has one.

Yes it was a good movie but, one main thing i did realize through this movie is that Mark Zuckerburg was not a very nice person assuming that his character had the same personality as in the movie.

First of all, he spited his best friend, his business partner. He seemed to be grasping for the stars a little too much and lost grasp of what was important. I mean, his "best friend" actually sued him in court. How far does it have to go before your best friend actually takes you to court.

The movie completely showed the skewness of morals in today's society. On Zuckerburg's original website "facemash" he had his peers compare the girls of Harvard saying who was "hotter". That is extremely degrading.

Then once the Winklevoss twins came to him with their idea of the Harvard Connection, he completely took the the idea and ran with it, without them.

He ended up getting sued by both the Winklevoss twins and his "best friend" Eduardo Saverin and they both won substantial amounts.

Now as the movie said, he is the youngest millionaire in history.

So he lied, stole, and cheated... but he did end up the creator of one of the most popular sites theses days. Hmm? Yup, that sounds like today's society.

500,000,000 users on facebook... now let me get off of here and go update my status.
